A charitable bequest for Revels in your will or living trust is one of the simplest ways to make a lasting investment in our traditions
Making a planned gift
Ensure financial security to Revels while offering you and your estate significant tax and other financial benefits.
Easy ways to include Revels in your legacy include:
• Bequests of real estate, a stated sum of money, or the remainder of your estate.
• Making Revels a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), insurance policy, or annuity.
• Setting up a Charitable Gift Annuity - which provides you income throughout your life and tax benefits at the time of gift.
A gift through your will or trust
A gift through your will or revocable trust is a simple and meaningful way of remembering Revels that may be directed where most needed by the Board of Trustees. A sample clause to share with your attorney is:
I give to Revels, Inc, a Massachusetts not-for-profit corporation whose address is 80 Mt. Auburn St, Watertown, MA, 02472. Tax ID #04-2557549 (the sum of $_________) or (_____ % of the residue of my estate) for its general purposes.
Life Insurance that you no longer need for your family security may be donated to Revels by transferring ownership of the policy or naming the organization as a beneficiary. Your estate may be entitled to a charitable deduction for the proceeds passing to Revels.
Retirement plan assets
The designation of Revels as a beneficiary of retirement plan benefits may be a tax-smart gift strategy. Our charitable tax status exempts retirement benefits from estate and income taxes that your individual heirs could incur if you were to give retirement plan assets to them.
