Christmas Revels Auditions

While Revels uses a number of professional performers in its productions, its volunteer choruses, adults and children, are at its core. There is no "standing" Revels production chorus; We audition each cast anew for every show.

Auditions for the 2017 Christmas Revels chorus will be held in March.

Sunday, March 5, 2017 and Monday, March 6, 2017 (4-6pm children) (7-9:30pm adults)

About the 2017 Christmas Revels

The Doge of Venice is weary of affairs of state and when elaborate preparations for the solstice Festeggiamento reach fever pitch he takes an unauthorized leave of absence. In the course of his short sabbatical he will mix more intimately with his “lesser” subjects - Corsican fishermen, actors, street performers and visiting musicians. Against a courtly background of pavanes, tarantellas, and motets we will overlay some coarser material - Corsican polyphony, lullabies, folk songs and children’s games. The Doge will have the time of his life. Our chorus will too!
