School Residency Rapper Sword Project |
|
|
School Residency for elementary schools $5,000; 3 months plan and prep,; 6 weeks in residence Revels' education and artistic staff work with school faculty to create a school-wide celebration of music, dance, and drama based on themes ranging from appreciation of local cultural diversity to specific topics in the school’s curriculum. A Revels residency is a collaboration that begins with several planning meetings with key school faculty, administrators, and parent volunteers to choose the theme and determine the scope of the project. Rehearsals co-led by Revels teaching artists and school faculty typically occur over six weeks prior to the celebration. A Revels production manager serves as coordinator of efforts by Revels and the school community. [The Spring Celebration] gave a wonderful community feeling and felt like a great way to end the year. |
