Fantasy and Imagination in Childhood Play and Art
Author
of novels for children and adults,
including the best selling Wicked, which became the basis for a successful
Broadway play, Gregory Maguire is a former Revels chorus
member. He was a longtime colleague of John Langstaff
and a leading member of Children's Literature New England. In
this intimate Salon, he will speak conversationally about fantasy and
imagination in childhood play and adult art.

The Gentle Hero: Working with Jack
Susan Cooper, prizewinning author of many
well known books for young readers, including the fantasy series
The Dark Is Rising, worked with John
Langstaff on Christmas Revels scripts for 20 years. Her poem "The
Shortest Day," written especially for Revels,
is recited in every Christmas Revels production around the country. Susan
will reflect on her collaboration with Jack. Join us for this memorable
evening.
