Celebrate the
first weekend of summer at SummersDay Revels, a free 3-day
event celebrating Boston's cultural diversity and the summer
season, presented by Friends
of Fort Point Channel..
SummersDay Revels will bring together talented traditional
musicians and dancers (children, teens and adults) representing
the neighborhoods of Boston, who will perform in the late
afternoon of June 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday) on multiple
stages along Fort Point Channel before uniting each evening
for an exciting inter-cultural SummersDay Revels performance
on the Main Stage near Boston
Children's Museum.
SummersDay Revels
begins Friday evening, June 20th with the 4th annual Summer
Street Solstice Art Celebration from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the Boston
Convention and Exhibition Center followed by
two days of public entertainment, dance and music workshops
and cultural displays June 21st and 22nd along Fort Point
Channel and the Harborwalk, culminating each night in a
giant SummersDay Revels stage production filled with music,
dance and rituals from around the world.
SummersDay Revels includes music and
dance performances, participatory demonstrations, delicious ethnic foods, and public art created by Boston school
children.
