In preparation for SummersDay Revels 2008 our first order of business is to put together a terrific cast of adults and children just like you. We need enthusiastic singers--not necessarily trained sight-readers, but singers who can hold their own pitch and have a good sense of rhythm--ready to commit to the rehearsal and performance schedule below, to work hard, to memorize beautiful music, and become the nucleus of another stunning Revels show. This year SummersDay Revels will be bigger than ever, with multiple stages, outdoors along Fort Point Channel near the Boston Children's Museum.

You may audition on either February 11 or 18, 2008. Auditions are held on a first come, first served basis. Before auditioning, you are asked to fill out an application. A PDF of the applications for adults and children can be downloaded here.

Auditions are short and simple. Prepare two songs--one fast and one slow--of any genre, whatever you're comfortable singing. Piano accompaniment will be available if you wish to provide music.

*School performance: We will need about half of our SummersDay cast to participate in an additional performance, at Perkins School for the Blind, on May 22 (rehearsal May 21). Please check to see if you have those dates free, although it is not a condition for being in the cast.
