WATCH A VIDEO by the Boston Globe about a blind 11-year old who will perform a sword dance as part of the evening's entertainments, then:
JOIN US on May 26th as Revels partners with Perkins School for the Blind for the eleventh successive year in a memorable music-filled Celebration of the Spring.
This one-hour performance of seasonal music and dance will feature the Perkins School Secondary Program Chorus (Arnie Harris, director), adults and children from Revels Repertory Company, songleader and musician David Coffin, the renowned Perkins Trio (students Andy Park, Anton Sviridenko and baritone John Castillo), musicians Natty Smith (fiddle), Bill Smith (guitar and banjo) and bass player Sarah Gregory Smith (who has been blind since the age of 30), the energetic Mulberry Morris children's dance team and a Sword dance team from the Ambrose Middle School in Winchester that includes an impressive 11-year old visually impaired student. And it wouldn't be a Revels celebration of spring without a visit from the ancient and mysterious Padstow 'Obby 'Oss, all the way from Cornwall, England!
Revels' partnership with Perkins School for the Blind these many years has been rewarding for all of us in so many ways. We hope you can share the joy of this special evening with us.
Celebration of the Spring is free and open to the public.
