GAYLE RICH (Executive Director)
Revels'
executive director Gayle Rich joined Revels as producer of the
Christmas Revels in 1977, served for several years on the Board
of Directors, became the national executive producer in 1983,
and executive director in 1984. Through her leadership and vision
she has carefully guided Revels' growth and expansion, both locally
and nationally.
Ms. Rich came to
Revels from a distinguished and varied career as a freelance concert
producer, concurrently producing the summer concert series in
the DeCordova Museum amphitheater for seventeen years, as well
as annual concert series for the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, The
Institute of Contemporary Art, Old South Meeting House, and the
Music from Marlboro concerts at the Longy School of music.
Ms. Rich studied
viola at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and music education
with a focus in music therapy at the University of Kansas.
Among her non-Revels activities she gives high priority to
playing chamber music, gardening and volunteering for other non-profits.
